Spotlight: Jarad Danby

This is some of my art. I do all of my work using ink pens in a monochromatic medium. I don't create these for any particular reason except that I enjoy doing it and I guess it's ultimately a torrent through which to express myself.

The most enjoyable part about this form of expression, for me, is choosing or creating my own subjects and watching them slowly and often indecisively come to life. Though I have known to doubt myself during my creative process, I always find solace in the final product. I would have to say that I have the most respect for any form of realism, as I appreciate overall how critical realism is.

I've been doing art actively for around 4 years now and have recently moved towards realism and portraiture, which I've found to be rewardingly challenging.

I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy creating it and sharing it with you.

Thanks for reading.
