Spotlight: Alex Lahey - 'You Don't Think You Like People Like Me'

Frolicking in a field of hype from a bustling 2015, Alex Lahey has dropped a brand new single, 'You Don't Think You Like People Like Me'. Lahey, who is the front woman of the vivacious pop-funk septet Animaux, has made a solo move into crunchier and distorted territory.

Produced by Holy Holy guitarist and Lucifer's Monocle friend Oscar Dawson, Lahey pay homage to staple garage rock foundations with her bellowing guitar lines and the quiet/loud verse/chorus disposition. The highlight of the song is the sparky and infectious chorus, which demonstrates Lahey's pop-flavoured tendencies infused with a sassy lyrical charm.

Alex Lahey will be bringing her live ensemble to celebrate the release at her single launch and to Shady Cottage and we can't wait to see what she has in store.
