If 'Touch' is anything to go by, Alice Ivy looks set for a big 2016. The single is the first off her forthcoming debut album, which is due later in the year.
We're loving the warm, syncopated synths and saxophone strikes throughout the track, along with the Avalanches-esque sample choices. London-based blues singer Georgia Van Etten complements the track beautifully with her lush vocal arrangements.
With the release of 'Touch' comes Alice Ivy's first-ever national tour, which kicked off on Friday in Sydney. Afterward, Alice will be featuring at the inaugural edition of Shady Cottage, a music festival in Trentham, Victoria that we're lucky enough to be presenting and covering. We're feeling that her calm and sophisticated sense of house and electronica will perfectly complement a late afternoon set.
